Spruce Boxy Silk Shirt

Fashion doesn't need to be dramatic. A simple redesign can make someone else's shirt your own. 

Here, I transformed a Tommy Bahama men’s button up silk shirt to a cute and feminine crop top with a little raw edge seam detail on the waistline and slits on the the side seams.

Women size: Medium
Front Body Length - 21"
Back Body Length - 22 1/4"
Across Shoulder - 19 1/2"
Across Chest - 21 1/2"

Material: 70% Silk / 30% CoolMax Poly

Care: Machine old with like colors. Gentle cycle. Tumble dry low. cool iron or dry clean.

Upcycling is a way to elevate what is existing and give it a second life that’s more beautiful than the last. Every piece starts out as a treasure hunt with an imagination of what it could become. Although I may have specific ideas or designs assigned to every piece, it takes time to get it right with trial and error. That makes the process exciting and interesting as every piece is unique and one of a kind. 

With history and the essence of a past era, you may see stains or imperfections. They are just unique assets and a reminder that this was once well lived. Now go on and play in the sand, dance with wine glasses on your hands and leave traces of your own.
